Uneasy

Personal

I'll write a longer post about this later, but last week I caught two men attempting to break in to our house in Cambodia. My wife and I are safe, but after a week of re-keying our house, hiring a part-time guard to watch the house, getting the gates and windows fixed, I am now just in a place to start talking about what happened.

The invasion of your own personal space makes you feel uneasy. I haven't slept well this week, I wake up every time I hear a noise at night. And my mind runs to the other scenarios that could have happened.

This is part of living in a developing country. It's part of the risk we take to do the work we feel called to do.
