Talent and Dreams
Last night my wife and I went and saw The Book of Mormon with her family. My wife I and I have always enjoyed going to musicals. My wife, as a musician herself, enjoys all the music. Me, I am blown away by the sheer talent of everyone it takes to pull off a show. From the lighting technicians, to the set designers, the directors, and the actors themselves. These are people who have spent years honing their craft. The dedication required to get to a Broadway level performer is incredible. I'm sure if you asked most of the people working on a Broadway show why they do what they do, they would tell you that they love it. And that they couldn't imagine doing anything else.
Why are we so quick to give up on our goals and dreams because it gets hard? When things are difficult, that's the time to push through, because you're on to something great. Sometimes it's more important to stay in the hard place, because your dream is right around the corner.
